These are the last hexis I received from both the hexi flower swap and the hexi block swap before they moved to the new site.  Still a little sad that they didnt keep them going on the original forum!

Knit a Blanket in a Day

This is a great quick project.  Its the noodle wool and only 20 stitches per row.   Knitting up a ball takes around 30min so you can easily get one done in a day.   Really had to knit my son something as he cant use a beaded scarf?  Well I should say he dosent want one.

Tuesday Treasure

Well I just so happened to be driving past Picklemouse Corner and there was a parking spot so I HAD to stop. I found a scrap bag that had my name on it so its my Tuesday Treasure. Im hoping its going to revive me insperation that has gone astray. I have an idea so keep an eye out to see what its going to become?

Well today I have two treasures. Sorry about the poor pic quality. My sweet best friend Ellie can often be found sitting on my chair, my bed or just getting right in the middle of things. The other day whilst knitting my dishcloths she decided she wanted to be RIGHT NEXT TO ME. What a wonderful treasure is a pet who loves to be around you.  I just dont think she understands shes 25kg and trying to sit on the arm of my chair?

Margarets Jug Cover

Those who know me are aware that my failing is crochet.  So I thought I would give it a go.  I had a piece of lace from Nottingham Castile "the Castle of Nottingham was originally built by William the Conqueror in 1068 and this great fortress became the residence of the Norman and Plantagenet Kings.  The present Castle with its Italianate style bears no resemblance to the original castle indeed, this has been destroyed and rebuilt several times through the centuries"  I picked it up in a secondhand store very cheap.  So at Christmas when I was given a nice pack of glass beads I thought of making a jug cover so finally its done and im still not sure how to crochet but I had a go.  Thanks to Margaret Harris for the lovley beads.

And the luck number is 7 Kathy55439. Kathy please email me your address to shabbychick@bigpond.com so I can get it into the post. Very sorry for the delay my internet went down and had to wait for a new connection. What a pain.

Many thanks Michelle glad you liked Curly Shirly.  Its really strange I got the design for the face from a stitchery I was working on and wondered if it was to strange for people to like.   Shes a sweet thing and I just loved making her.

Just finishing up a few kits for my new owl.  Made with an Amy Butler print for the body.  Also doing a vibrant ornage/white print with blue feet and wings.  So to celebrate im giving away one kit.  This will contain everything you need except the fill and threads.  Leave a comment to be in the running.  This will be open until 15th of Feb 2011.

Still working on my other creation next to Mr Owl.

Easy T-Shirts

My Daugter picked the fabrics because she couldnt find a premade shirt.  Simple pattern but its what she wanted.  So now i can take them off the to do list.  the sewing machine and I had words several times during the construction but I won.  I should have recorded when my daughters asked me not to make their clothes any more.  If anyone is interested in the pattern please email me and I will pass it on.

Sewing Around The Clock

So much sewing to do.  My cousins little boyx wanted lunch bags which I made for my 3 treasures last year one down one to go.  Aunt needs her curtins hemmed, they are sitting here waiting for me to do.  My daughter just decided that she would like some new tshirts so we have the fabric just need more time to make them. This week I have finished a wall hanging, 2 dolls, 1 stitchery, dressed a teddy, made 2 thread keepers, a coffee pot cover and written 5 lots of instructions.  I now have to finish 1 sewing box that needs a lid, 1 toy that needs features and legs, my house work washing gardening and find the missing pieces to the spare sewing machine.

Oh and I forgot to mention I need to make more time to pretend im listening while im sewing, finish the charity quilts, finish my website and about 10000000000000000 other things.  WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN UPTO.
